Gellibrand Cricket Club History
1953
Gellibrand Cricket Club was founded. Playing at Edwards Reserve in Spotswood, the club adopted the name of the local electorate and the colours of the South Melbourne Football Club (the local VFL recruiting zone).
1956
Now playing on a ground which now makes up part of the Westgate Golf Course (over the first and ninth holes), the first records appear of Gellibrand match results - we defeated Williamstown CYMS outright.

Gellibrand moved to it's current home, Digman Reserve in Newport and won it's first premiership, defeating Newport Powerhouse by 9 wickets.

Gellibrand's first Milo-have-a-go program begins, introducing school kids to cricket and giving future Gellibrand stars their start.
2004/05
Gellibrand enters junior teams into the Western Region Junior Cricket Association for the first time. Teams in … divisions were entered.
2016/17
Gellibrand left the Williamstown & District Cricket Association and joined the Victorian Turf Cricket Association for the first time.
2019/20
Gellibrand's first ever senior female team is entered in the North West Metro Cricket Association, making it all the way to the semi-finals.
2021/22
Gellibrand wins its first senior women's premiership, defeating Flemington CC by 8 runs at home.
2022/23
The facilities at Digman Reserve are redeveloped, including a new pavilion, four new cricket grounds and carparking. The pavilion opening was held on… and was attended by Melissa Horne MP, Mayor Peter Hemphill and other dignitaries.
2023/24
Gellibrand defeat Moonee Valley in the Division 4 grand final by 25 runs, breaking a 22 year First XI premiership drought.
